We’re well into fall in southeastern Wisconsin, and full-blown winter will be here before we know it. If you’re from the area, you’ve probably had to become comfortable driving in less-than-ideal weather conditions. Wisconsinites and others from the upper Midwest, for the most part, are competent drivers in snow and even when dealing with ice on the roads.
For people without experience driving in slippery and low-visibility conditions, driving through our state can be a daunting task. Without real-life experience driving in snow and on ice, it can be scary, and inexperienced drivers often tend to panic when visibility becomes low or over compensate when the vehicle starts to slide. Driving in winter weather in Wisconsin is serious business, and we want to see everyone be safe.
As we are in the hospitality industry, we see visitors from all over the country and all over the world. If you’re staying with us during winter, we want to take a moment to encourage you to be safe on the roads. Our guests mean the world to us, and we want to see them stay safe when they visit our great state. If you’re passing through on a long trip, plan plenty of time to get where you are going, and even plan to break up your trip by staying at a great Milwaukee area hotel like Baymont Inn & Suites in Mequon.
To all our guests and visitors, please keep your safety in mind as you travel over the winter and into the holiday season.
