It’s almost Labor Day, and for many, the first Monday in September marks the end of summer. While it’s true that the official end of summer comes a few weeks after Labor Day, most schools have already started or start immediately after Labor Day, and the long weekend is the last hurrah before schedules start to get more formal and intense.
Take a minute to think back about the summer you had. Was it relaxing? Stressful? Did you work a lot or did you have some time off? If you have kids, did you go on a family vacation, or did you spend all summer traveling to weekend tournaments for club sports?
Whatever the case is, it’s often hard for many of us to admit to ourselves that summer is coming to a close. Whether it’s the monotony of the school-year schedule that we dread, or if it’s because we know soon the weather will change, and it’s only a mere matter of a couple months before we will be shoveling the sidewalk and bundling up for the cold weather, we just don’t like to admit that summer is almost over.
So what can you do about it? Labor Day is the perfect long weekend for a quick getaway. And what better place to spend a long weekend than in the Milwaukee area. There is still plenty to do, and the weather has never been better, so come visit us one last time this summer.
And when you come, make sure you complete your stay with a great hotel room at a fantastic price. At Baymont Inn & Suites in Mequon, you’ll be just down the road from all the action, and you’ll stay in a quiet and comfortable room.
