Wisconsin, like the other states in the upper Midwest, most definitely experiences all four seasons in a distinct way – and each season is beautiful in its own way. The winters, for example, can be absolutely beautiful. The fall colors are stunning. Summers, in and around Milwaukee, however, are something truly special.

First and foremost, Milwaukee is known as the festival city, and the party lasts all summer. From Summerfest (the largest music festival in the world) to myriad cultural festivals, the fun doesn’t stop. In addition to all the festivals, Milwaukee boasts some of the best beaches in the Midwest, warm yet comfortable weather, great museums, tailgating at baseball games, and a plethora of other great activities to enjoy both indoors and out.

So if you’re wondering why we’re talking about summer fun in the middle of February, it’s because summer will be here before you know it. It’s never too early to start making your vacation plans. If you’ve never been to the area, we’d really encourage you to come and enjoy the fantastic summer in southeastern Wisconsin. We think you’ll be surprised at all there is to do and see.

Of course you’ll need a great place to stay when visiting. Baymont Inn & Suites in Mequon has you covered.
