In our last post, we wrote about the (unofficial) end of summer that comes with the Labor Day weekend. The long holiday weekend has come and gone, and now it’s early fall in Wisconsin. Though the weather is still warm and generally pleasant, the cooler days will sneak up on us before we know it. Soon it will be time to trade in the t-shirts and shorts for a jacket or cozy sweater.
This time of year in Wisconsin is absolutely magical. Pleasant weather and stunning colors make it a great time to be outdoors. In early fall, it’s a great time to get out and enjoy your favorite summertime activities a few last times. Golf in early fall is absolutely spectacular as the hot days fade into days that are pleasantly warm – just right. Taking in a weekend high school or college football game is another great tradition. And as fall progresses, taking a hike to view the gorgeous fall foliage, or sitting around a warm camp fire in the crisp evening air is the perfect thing to do – both are experiences like none other.
If you’ve not experienced a fall in southeastern Wisconsin, trust us, you’re missing out. Take a look at your calendar and find a few days when you can get away and come visit us in Wisconsin. And when you come, book a stay with us at Baymont Inn & Suites in Mequon, and then schedule some awesome autumn activities for you and your family. You’ll certainly be happy you did.
